This home was only a few years old, but the owners wanted a new kitchen due to its poor original design. With high ceilings, sharp lines, oversized rooms and broad water views, the home owners knew that the right kitchen would suit their lifestyle and their home.

The first change that Lee made was to open the room up and elongate the design with an abundance of bench space. This could only be possible with a careful design technique and appropriate material selection.

A beautiful 5 metre long monolithic, slim-line bench incorporating a flush-mount cooktop acts as the feature of the kitchen space and is made with Staron®. This benchtop then flows to a 150mm diameter cove blending into an angled splashback featuring a integrated wave pattern grooves into the Staron®, while wrapping around the wall-mounted appliances. The Island has thickened edges with a drop-down and return, boasting 2 under-mount sinks. Also a complete wall was made using Staron® to complete the look.

The results are a truly admirable kitchen with all the features expected in a prestigious kitchen. A mix of Gloss and Matt finishes, both natural and synthetic, varying height and open sections, marry together to boast a glamorous uncluttered masterpiece.
