Description

Shinnoki acoustically absorbing panels has been developed to absorb and reduce any disturbing sounds in a room. This leads to greater acoustic comfort, even in highly frequented rooms with a lot of background noise. The mechanism of absorption at the core of a Shinnoki acoustical panel is called the principle of Helmholtz resonance, named after the German physician Herr Hermann Helmholtz, who discovered this phenomenon in 1863. Nano perforations in the surface and a large cavity in the material ensure that medium and low frequencies (= human voice) are efficiently absorbed.

Application

Indoor

Commercial, Healthcare, Hospitality, Retail, Fixtures, Case goods, Office furniture, Doors, Closets, Institutional Millwork, Kitchen cabinets, Vanity, Closets, Architectural features, Wall panels and Office Casework.

Technical

Size: Made to size

Format: Panel

Overall Thickness: Panel: 3/4″

Edge / End: Options include edge banding, self-edges, solid edges, and miter-fold edges, Custom edging is possible.

General

Collection Name: Shinnoki Acoustics
Finish: Pre-Finished with six layers of urethane, 2% sheen level

Custom Capabilities: Complementary products available, including Edgebandings, Fill sticks, and Markers

Construction: .6mm veneer bonded to an MDF core with nano perforations diameter of 0,5 mm across the entire surface area (diagonal, 1,97/1,97/0,5 mm) in combination with perforated acoustic core (with perforated zone in the core [linear, 8/8/6 mm]) and acoustic absorbing glass fibre tissue (back)

Performance

Flammability: Meets ASTM E 84 / CANULC 102S – Class A

Emissions: No Added Formaldehyde

Environmental

Environmental Benefits: Sustainably managed European Oak forests.

Certificates & Standards: CARB II, NAF, FSC, Pure Wood Charter, PEFC, Lacy Act
